These historic properties date back from the 19th Century. They are
located on Valentia Island opposite the small picturesque fishing village
of Portmagee. There you will find pubs, restaurants, a small shop and a
cafe. Portmagee is the starting point for daily boat trips to the Skelligs
and was the winner of the Irish Tourism Town Award in 2012. Portmagee and
Valentia Island join the newly established Wild Atlantic Way and offer
plenty of breathtaking scenery. They offer privacy in a very quiet surrounding. The location ensures amazing views from the houses and the lawn towards the sea and the small fishing village of Portmagee.

Directly beside the sea and
with beautiful views they are a great place to spend a relaxed holiday on
Valentia Island. The cottages are surrounded by large lawns which stretch
down to the sea. There is access to the water and a slip for small
boats. This makes the Coastguard Cottages an ideal location for all water activities.
Altogether there are six
terraced houses - we let No.1 and No.3. The
houses are finished to a high standard and provide plenty of space for 3-4
people. They differ only slightly in size and comfort: These cottages were restored to a high and modern standard still retaining their original character. |
